Charlton WOOD, only son of Mr and Mrs Charles D. Wood of Third place, Freeport,
died at midnight on Sunday from mastoiditis, following an attack of measles.
He was ten years of age.
The funeral was held from the Church of Our Holy Redeemer Thursday morning,
under the direction of Chester A. Fulton.
Interment in Calvery [sic] Cemetery.

Mrs Charles D. Wood was nee Mabel JONES, daughter of Ameila and George Jones.
She was in her early to mid 30s when her only son died.
Following this, the Woods moved to Brooklyn, and were still childless at the time
of the 1920 census:
